Failure of Al-alloy AK 4-1c under creep-fatigue interaction conditions NOVY, F., PALCEK, P., CHALUPOVA, M. vol. 43 (2005), no. 6, pp. 447 - 456
Abstract The mechanism of failure of AK 4-1 aluminium alloy was investigated at the temperature of 543 K under creep-high frequency fatigue (20 kHz) conditions. The minimum creep rate and time to fracture were the main criteria being considered to evaluate creepfatigue interaction. Due to the effect of the cyclic loading the minimum creep rate slightly increases and time to fracture significantly decreases. The cyclic loading has a significant influence on the total lifetime and fracture mechanism governing the alloy deformation behaviour.
