Computation of analytical equations for intersection properties of metalic foam (in Slovak) JAROSI, M. vol. 42 (2004), no. 6, pp. 423 - 435
Abstract In this paper we are dealing with cross-sectional properties of cellular materials. The analytical relationships have been derived that are necessary for computation of cross-section area and moment of inertia. Subsequently, the values obtained by the analytical equations were compared with values obtained through the image analysis of scanned cross-sections for metal foams. It was shown that the results are very sensitive to the thickness of surface layer as a result of foaming process at the boundary surface and the exact value of relative density function.
