Simulation of hot rolling process by torsion plastometer (in Slovak) PETERCAKOVA, A., POKORNY, I. vol. 41 (2003), no. 6, pp. 389 - 401
Abstract In the presented paper, values of fundamental deformation resistance were determined for low carbon and microalloyed steels under temperature-deformation conditions corresponding to real rolling process. Results from the simulation experiment were compared with values obtained from the process of hot rolling. A model for application of laboratory test results in practice for prediction of the flow stress and technological deformation resistance was developed. New equations for prediction of the steel deformation resistance applicable to industrial hot rolling conditions were derived.
