Abstract In the paper, fracture surfaces of Pt-Y2O3 materials prepared by mechanical alloying as well as commercial dispersion strengthened Pt materials are analyzed in relation to qualitative factor QF. It has been proved that the material with uniform ductile dimple fracture facets has the highest value of qualitative factor QF.
