Abstract The work is aimed at study of changes of microstructural characteristics of Cu-CuO-Al2O3 material depending on the volume portion of dispersoid. Nanocrystalline powder mixtures with the dispersoid amounts from 1 to 10 % vol. were prepared by the original mechano-chemical method [1, 2]. In individual stages of preparation of the powder mixtures, a change of the morphology of Cu-particles takes place. With the increasing volume portion of the secondary phase, the structure of the powder Cu-matrix is refined. In compact materials deformation texture is formed during extrusion, however, with the increasing amount of the dispersoid it is suppressed.
