Effect of cobalt on structure and magnetic properties of rapidly quenched microcrystalline Fe-6.5WT.%Si alloys (in Slovak) SOLYOM, A., MARKO, P., MATISOVA, D. vol. 35 (1997), no. 6, pp. 365 - 371
Abstract The microstructure, crystallographic texture and magnetic properties of microcrystalline Fe-6.5wt.%Si and Fe-6.5wt.%Si-3.0wt.%Co alloys prepared by rapid quenching of melt on a steel wheel are studied in the paper. We attained a favourable crystallographic texture from the standpoint of magnetic properties and a homogeneous microstructure by heat treatment of samples at 1100 °C for 1 hour in hydrogen atmosphere. Magnetometric measurements demonstrate increase of the saturation magnetic polarisation in modified alloys by cobalt.
