Geometrical models of materials: random closed sets (in Czech) SAXL, I. vol. 34 (1996), no. 6, pp. 349 - 366
Abstract The fundamentals of the theory of random closed sets in the Euclidean space of an arbitrary dimension d are presented and the selected characteristics of random closed sets are introduced. Namely, Choquet hitting functional, contact distribution functions, covariance and set covariance, K-function and pair correlation function. Further, the most important models of random closed sets are described and shortly discussed, in particular germ-grain model, Poisson point process, cluster fields, hard-core models, lattice models, Boolean model, Poisson hyperplanes etc. Key words theory of random closed sets, Euclidean space, Choquet hitting functional, contact distribution functions, covariance, K-function, pair correlation function Full text not available
