Evaluation of yield strength of Al-Al4C3 composite with high volume fraction of dispersion phase (in Slovak) VELGOSOVA, O., BESTERCI, M., IVAN, J. vol. 39 (2001), no. 5, pp. 302 - 308
Abstract In the paper the yield strength of Al-Al4C3 composite system with high volume fraction of Al4C3 phase is evaluated. The results are compared with the previously obtained ones for lower volume fraction of dispersion phase. Additive contributions to yield strength of the material with a high volume fraction of secondary phase (12 vol.% Al-Al4C3) are in agreement with the linear law for materials with lower fraction of dispersoids (1-10 vol.% Al4C3). The validity of the Fischer-Hart-Pry relation between yield strength and microstructural parameters for Al-Al4C3 system with particle arrangement in rows is confirmed in the paper.
