Measurement of carbon diffusion coefficients in Fe-C-Cr steels by chromatographic method (in Czech) KUCERA, J., HAJDUGA, M. vol. 37 (1999), no. 5, pp. 303 - 313
Abstract In the present paper it is shown that the diffusion coefficients of carbon in chromium steels at high temperatures can be measured by the use of a chromatograph coupled onto a thermobalance. This method is suitable especially in the case of steels containing higher content of carbon. The values of D's measured in low carbon Fe-C-Cr steels have rather qualitative character. However, all the values of D measured in the present work agree well with the diffusion coefficients D(βCi) calculated on the basis of a model of Wagner's type.
