Carbide phase changes in low-alloy Cr-Mo-V steels (in Slovak) VYROSTKOVA, A., JANOVEC, J., SVOBODA, M. vol. 33 (1995), no. 5, pp. 310 - 316
Abstract The influence of tempering conditions and bulk Mo and V contents on the carbide phase changes in three low-alloy steels 2.5Cr, 2.5Cr-0.7Mo and 2.5Cr-0.7Mo-0.16V was investigated. Transmission electron microscopy (electron diffraction and EDX) was used to determine the type and chemical composition of carbide particles. The M7C3 carbide was considered to be the most stable in the investigated steels. The influence of both, the tempering conditions and the bulk Mo and V contents on carbide reactions preceding the M7C3 stabilization was quantified.
