Effect of Co, Nb and Ti addition on structure and properties of PM high speed steel (in Slovak) JAKUBECZYOVA, D., BLACH, J., FABEROVA, M. vol. 39 (2001), no. 4, pp. 278 - 288
Abstract Non-conventional high-speed PM steel (PM/HSS) prepared by atomization of melt by nitrogen into nitrogen and modified by Co, Nb and Ti was compacted by hot isostatic pressing and then heat-treated. Microstructure and phase analyses of the experimental material were carried out, distribution and size of carbidic phases were determined, and tests of mechanical properties were realized. Abrasion wear resistance test was in a very good correlation with the durability of the cutting edges showing the best performance of the Co modified PM/HSS. Key words powder metallurgy, high speed steel, size and distribution of carbides, durability of cutting edge, hardness, wear Full text not available
