Mechanical properties of Mg-12Li-xAl alloys reinforced by short saffil fibres (in Czech) TROJANOVA, Z., KUDELA, S., LUKAC, P., DROZD, Z., PTACEK, L., MATHIS, K. vol. 41 (2003), no. 3, pp. 203 - 211
Abstract Composites with a matrix from Mg12Li-xAl (x = 0, 3, 5) alloys reinforced by 10 vol.% of Saffil short fibres were deformed in compression at temperatures from room temperature up to 200 °C. Flow stresses increase with increasing Al content and decrease with increasing temperature. Deformation stress achieved its maximum value at low deformation steps then it decreased with the strain or exhibited a stationary value. Possible hardening and softening mechanisms are discussed.
