Influence of small notches on fatigue strength under high stress cycle asymmetry (in Czech) KUNZ, L., LUKAS, P. vol. 41 (2003), no. 3, pp. 193 - 202
Abstract Fatigue strength of cylindrical specimens with small circumferential notches was determined for a high stress cycle asymmetry. The steel test bars were detracted from a railway wheel set made of an experimental melt. It has been shown that the fracture-mechanical approach to the description of the notch effects in fatigue reliably predicts both (a) the fatigue notch factor for asymmetrical loading and (b) the maximum size of non-damaging notches.
