Mechanical behaviour of hybrid laminates with carbon fibers (in Czech) CHLUPOVA, A., DYMACEK, P. vol. 40 (2002), no. 3, pp. 195 - 208
Abstract This paper is focused on study of mechanical behaviour of hybrid laminate composite. Main attention is concentrated on little known and till now commercially not produced material combination: carbon fibers in epoxy matrix and aluminium alloy sheets - in abbreviation C/EP/AL. The flat specimen made of investigated material was subjected to static loading and cyclic loading with asymmetry of cycle. The specimen for cyclic loading was provided with notch for localization of crack initiation at study of early fatigue stages. The obtained results contribute to complex classification of properties and behaviour of a new type of hybrid composites not only at static loading, but also at cyclic loading, for which this type of material was developed. Experimental and theoretical results contribute to enlargement of laminate composites property database. Key words composites, laminates, ultimate strength, stiffness, internal stress, fatigue, crack initiation, crack propagation Full text not available
