Strength and deformation characteristics of microalloyed steel with the yield point of 500 MPa at impact loading (in Slovak) MICHEL, J., CIZMAROVA, E., ORUZINSKA, S. vol. 37 (1999), no. 3, pp. 191 - 199
Abstract The paper analyses strength and deformation characteristics of microalloyed (Nb) steel with yield strength Re > 500 MPa at dynamic impact loading in tension. The experiments were carried out on bars, which were made of microalloyed steel KODUR E 500 TS. For comparison, experiments were also performed on 12 013.1 and 12 050.1 carbon steel bars. It follows from the analysis of the result, that microalloyed steels are less sensitive than carbon steels to the rate of deformation, due to very fine grains and probably also due to contents of precipitates in the ferrite matrix.
