Elastic-plastic analysis of Charpy V specimen in application for the critical fracture stress evaluation (in Slovak) BROZOVA, A., LAUEROVA, D. vol. 34 (1996), no. 3, pp. 173 - 186
Abstract Elastic-plastic calculations of stress and strain by finite element method in Charpy V specimen with 0.25 and 0.4 mm notch radius at two temperatures were made. Calculated constraint factor f and load-displacement values in general yielding were used for the critical fracture stress evaluation from the static three point bend tests. The calculation results were compared with those of the four point bend. Another method based on the Weibull stress calculations was used for the critical fracture stress evaluation and good agreement of the mean values was gained. The mean value scatters were different and this fact is discussed in the paper. Key words elastic-plastic calculations, finite element method in Charpy V, factor f, Weibull stress Full text not available
