Microstructural changes induced by superplastic like deformation in dispersion strengthened Al-Al4C3 system (in Slovak) BESTERCI, M., SLESAR, M., ZRNIK, J., KOVAC, L. vol. 33 (1995), no. 3, pp. 142 - 147
Abstract In the presented work the microstructural changes in Al-Al4C3 with 4 vol.% of Al4C3 are presented, with their relations to the properties after straining at different temperatures and strain rates. It has been shown, up to 300 °C the dislocation slip in the grains is the dominant deformation mechanism; from 350 to 450 °C also the additional mechanisms of the slide on the grain boundaries are in effect; at the temperature 450 °C and at the strain rate 10-1 s-1 a superplastic like behaviour was observed, the microstructure showing remarkable elongation of the grains in one direction.
