Electrical conductivity and hardness of Cu-graphite composite after ECAP KOVACIK, J., BALOG, M., EMMER, Š. vol. 52 (2014), no. 2, pp. 71 - 76 DOI: 10.4149/km_2014_2_71
Abstract Hot isostatic pressing (HIP) prepared Cu-graphite composite at 6 vol.% graphite was equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) processed in following way: 4 × BC. After that, the microstructure, hardness and electrical conductivity of ECAP processed composite were investigated and compared with the properties of as-HIPed composite. Better hardness due to smaller grain size of copper matrix and certain changes of graphite phase shape and spatial distribution were observed for ECAP processed sample. The electrical conductivity was observed unchanged by ECAP processing which is consistent with the behaviour of pure copper after ECAP processing.
