Distribution coeffcients of admixtures in magnesium (in Czech) KUCHAR, L., DRAPALA, J. vol. 42 (2004), no. 2, pp. 132 - 142
Abstract Results of a systematic study of available magnesium-admixture binary systems are presented in this work. By means of second-degree polynomials solidus and liquidus curves in the region of the melting point of pure magnesium are expressed for 43 systems. Values of equilibrium distribution coefficients of admixtures in magnesium are determined. These values represent the main material parameters of the zone melting and directional solidification and the results are compared with experiments. The periodic correlation dependence of distribution coefficients of admixtures in magnesium on the proton number of admixtures is drawn up. This dependence enables to predict the behaviour of other admixtures during the crystallization of magnesium.
