Structural properties of the Ni3Al-phase oxidation products (in Slovak) ZEMANKOVA, M., IVAN, J., KLC, P. vol. 35 (1997), no. 2, pp. 87 - 92
Abstract Isothermal oxidation of an alloy formed by dendrites of Ni3Al intermetallic phase and NiAl + Ni3Al "matrix" has been performed and the oxidation product structure studied. Aluminium and oxygen with small amount of nickel were identified by EDX analyses in the oxide scale created on the surface of the alloy after 50 hour oxidation in air at 1373 K. γ- and α-Al2O3 modifications and crystals of spinel NiAl2O3 were found by the selected area electron diffraction method on a pre-thinned foil after short-term oxidation (5 min). Key words isothermal oxidation, EDX analyses, γ- and α-Al2O3 modifications, Ni3Al intermetallic phase, structual properties Full text not available
