 Abstract    The present work investigates three typical dislocation and twinning structures resulting from creep in the Ti-52Al intermetallic – irregular 3D dislocation network (type I), regular subgrains and their boundaries (type II) and the system of deformation twins (type III). The microstructures observed by transmission electron microscopy are analyzed and the emphasis is given to deformation modes and possible reactions of various types of dislocations that can govern creep in the intermetallic compound.
