Prediction of the equilibrium segregation coefficients of solutes in binary systems of VIII and IX-group transition metals (in Czech) LUNACEK, J. vol. 38 (2000), no. 1, pp. 62 - 73
Abstract The equilibrium segregation coefficients of solute elements in binary systems of VIII and IX-group of transition metals is predicted according to the thermodynamic solution model without knowledge of phase diagrams. The model is applied on Ru, Os, Rh, and Ir-base dilute alloys at their melting points. The calculated values of equilibrium segregation coefficients are compared with the values determined by binary equilibrium phase diagrams. The effect of the electrons number participated in the bond on the value of equilibrium segregation coefficients is discussed.
